Your post on this made me rememeber a universal remote control that we bought that was so cheap… it was made in china but it was available in italy and we bought it in an italian province but in a chinese store… it functioned pretty good, it was so cheap for 2 euros bu the problem was to understand how it functioned at start because the instruction was weird english… ^^

The remotes we use are a nightmare. They only work half of the time. I want to put them in the microwave and ZAP!

yup. i'm trying to recall which one i used. it didn't have the automatic backup though, so i would just manually upload files.

i think i used streamload, thinkoffice, and at one time, i mapped my gmail account as an online drive. i forget the others.

but that was before i had dsl, so it really wasn't as useful as it could be now.

that’s a very good looking universal remote. ours though is free, since most remote these days are programmed to control other gadgets also, but of course, they do not look as good as that one! maybe i should check that one, since i really like the look
