Do you know that LASIK procedure get better and affordable?
LASIK procedure has been known for more than a decade. It is not something considered as a technological breakthrough. This technology was first developed in the 1950s by a Colombian ophthalmologist. Decades of further studies led to the vast improvement of this technology.
The NASA and the US military had been requiring their personnel to undergo LASIK technology procedure to improve their vision. These institutions have been doing this for over five years. This increases the performance of their personnel because they do not have to bother with glasses and contact lenses anymore.
iLASIK finally brings this wonderful technology to all. The technology uses two LASER beams instead of one to “open” the cornea and perform the vision correction. The entire process only takes 20 minutes and in many cases, improved vision is immediately noticed.
If you happen to be in need of this eye procedure, then don’t be among the others who stay out from this procedure. Knowing more about LASIK information definitely clears off any misinformation associated with this great technology. The procedure is not as costly as it once had been, and there are other options available to help fund such costs.

One look at Boss Safety and this site reminded me of my past work as a maintenance engineer in a Japanese semiconductor manufacturing company. My main duty was to lead a team of all-male team of technicians in an entire shift. I am also accountable for the regular inventory of tools that are needed by technicians to accomplish their shift duties.
If I had known about Boss Safety before then our company should have ordered a host of quality safety supplies for our group. My boss and I had surfed a dozen sites and decided to take our tools and supplies from several sites. As I was looking over Boss Safety, it looks like this site has more to offer aside from safety supplies and equipment. We should even have ordered pelican cases to protect our heavy duty equipment from getting damaged due to unexpected drops and mishandling.
Memories of my past engineering job have passed on my mind and I wondered what my old office mates are up to right now. I know my former boss is still around tinkering with the equipment and perhaps, still managing the technicians that I left behind. For a fleeting moment, I missed this job that I left almost a year ago.

I got into some news in various technology websites. A virus made it through space. Not the live microorganism that can be cultured in little petri dishes, but a malicious software program that we commonly encounter in our home computers.

The virus name is Gammima.AG, a worm made to steal login usernames and passwords from popular online games. It was not the first time that NASA carried viruses into orbit, but this news somehow broke from a space news website (SpaceRef) and became such a hit.
I think that virus writer would be quite surprised and proud that his (or her) virus made it through the astronaut’s laptops and made it beyond the earth’s atmosphere. Too bad that writer will not have that opportunity to travel with that virus through space.
Here is the link to one of the articles.

The internet is becoming a vast virtual world where new ways of connecting online are being explored. The internet is no longer confined to interconnected home and office computers, but it is now becoming an entangled web of handheld devices and smart appliances that are linked to the internet.
As the web opens up to more users, digital security is becoming a great concern. Companies safeguarding security on the web should be on the lookout for problems that can compromise online transactions and secure data processing. They should also be the ones to create innovations and improvements to make the world wide web a safer place.
This is possible with sites that develop secure technologies like Gemalto, a solutions provider that ensures end-to-end digital security in the form of secure personal devices like smart cards, powerful SIMs, e-passports and tokens. Gemalto provides powerful SIM cards that can support USB protocol for high-speed internet access and TCP-IP protocol for making the phones internet hosts and websites. These phones in turn, can be easily be accessed by others through a PC or another mobile phone, using a web browser for access.
Gemalto is even up to the trend in providing OTP or one-time password on SIM for gaining access in some password protected account. This is seen as a feasible alternative since most people who are online also own a mobile phone.
I got to this new search engine that can be considered as the next addition to the list of search engines to use in my list. Even if the site is still a work in progress, Ranknoodle.com can be used to search for information. Unlike sites like Google and Yahoo, the search results are organized into different sections: a definition, a set of conversation, a list of web results, related articles, pictures and videos.
It seems like Ranknoodle.com is a promising search engine that I hope to hear more buzz soon. I tried to see if this search engine had indexed this blog – the showed up as the first search result of the list (something that Cuil had missed out).
