I really wish to be wedded in a manner that it seemed to be impeccable and perfect to the eyes of the guests. I am not expecting an all too perfect wedding though, but I believe that a well-prepared feast is seen in the little details that are put into it. Weddings are one-in-a-lifetime events and good first impressions of an upcoming great wedding are always seen in the letterpress wedding invitation that the couple gives out to their family and friends.

I’ve seen some samples that Dauphine Press featured in their website. They are not discriminating in accepting wedding invitations. They are willing to do jobs for even for gay wedding invitations. These are indeed letterpress wedding invitations that are still fitting to any wedding occasion.
I feel like I’m like the younger maidens who fancy perfect weddings and I sometimes find myself thinking about it. I believe that Dauphine Press does a great job of preserving the quaint touch that technology cannot entirely replace. But Dauphine Press does not stick to the older ways of doing these lovely letterpress invitations – it is a marriage of the ease of modern technology and vintage printing to come up with the seemingly old-fashioned wedding invitation that everyone prefers to receive.
Have you heard about the Microsoft Surface that was introduced to the public a few months back?
This is now getting to be a reality as Sheraton hotels agreed to install this Microsoft Surface interactive table on some of their hotels. I’ve seen how it worked in a video that a friend had emailed me months back. Now some customers are finally getting to have a feel of this new technology. Some hotel tables are now converted into these special tables where guests need to use two fingers to do the walking. Not all Sheraton hotels contain these “surfaces” because Microsoft says that the installation is out for the test run.

At first it seemed to me that the table is a lot similar to the touch screen computers that I see around. The remarkable difference of this technology is that it is designed to operate in 3D. It has a bunch of infrared cameras
and a projector that is installed along with this table so that it can respond to three-dimensional hand-gestures. This arrangement also enables the “surface” to respond to different types of objects. The Microsoft Surface can even “make waves” – literally.
For Bill Gates, this is indeed a start of his great vision to see the “surface” everywhere. I don’t hear any competition to this technology and I think he would be dominating this field of technology once more – just like what he had done with the software.
What do you think about Microsoft Surface?

Despite having more powerful computers and fast information delivery scientists are still finding ways to make information delivered even faster. The fiber optic technology delivers information at the speed of light but this information can pass through a series of electronic devices along the way which can slow down information transfer. Even if the cables are indeed great in delivering loads of information the routing hardware does not cope up with the loads of information.
The bottleneck that our existing electronic hardware is limited will now be slowly replaced with another great breakthrough. “Metamaterials” provides better data delivery to the various ports of destination. The article on BBC News clearly explained how metamaterials can eliminate the use of bulky electronics to route information to the destination. The terahertz speed that fiber-optics carry now will now be “slowed down” using metamaterials. These metamaterials acts as a braking mechanism and will be used in such a way that the conversion from light to electronics and vice versa is eliminated.

This “slow light” technology is surely a great improvement. I guess I would be seeing metamaterial technology in the years (or months) to come.
Do you think this will be a progressive technology?

iPhones 3G is still not out yet in the Philippines, but there is so much buzz about it. I seem not to miss the word iPhone whenever I get to visit sites around. It is indeed a hot topic. iPhone 3G sales just reached a whopping 3 million after the first month of its launch.

The coming of this gadget is also a great buzz in many Filipino blogs. I think that there will still be a demand for this gadget locally – at least for those who can spare the cash in having one. Globe Telecom will be the first to introduce this model on August 22 which is only less than ten days from now. The rates are not cheap and interested buyers are required to submit their intention of buying the iPhone 3G through an online reservation.
Do you think iPhones are cool?

Extreme Style by VO5 led me to a cool online game that really relieves me from the tension of doing my job. It was quite difficult at the beginning as people came in and out of the room, but I eventually got to play with two other guys. I was greatly amused at the answers of my contestants when I delivered five questions when I got to play as the judge in this Ultimate Flirting Championship virtual online game. I got the widget below so you get access to it (you can even grab that for your blog).

I was ready with my line “Would you be shocked if I put on something more comfortable?” taken from classic movie Hell’s Angels. I just thought that remembering a classic movie line might work so I’d better be ready. I was curious if these out-of-the-blue classic lines will work. I think it puts a more interesting note while playing out the Victory Hair game as a contestant. Of course, not everyone would get attracted to that pick up line that I’ve chosen, but I was able to get the interest of some guys who seem to fit my type.
I think the game is worth trying out some classic lines with some real virtual players before using it for real with the person that we like.
