Freelance Programming is a Game of Sport

Freelance programming jobs is pretty much like d. smith has written out in his Family Life and Sports: Fourth Soccer Game, a personal blog of a soccer coach. He encountered a problem on having a few players to play for the entire game. Despite that, the team players were very cooperative – they worked together to emerge victorious in the end.

When I work at freelance programming jobs, I get to interact with clients. Sometimes there are problems encountered as one gets to work with the job. Even worse is to come up with reasons why the work is delayed. Maybe telling off a family emergency may work, but being tied up with other projects or commitments can really anger a client.

In my experience it happened to me that my home internet connection was off for one week. I was not a reason for me not to continue doing the website – since most of the sections of the site can be done offline; I proceeded in finishing those parts of the project.

Thus, freelance jobs are basically the same with that soccer game. The client simply wants the end result of the finished work – just like achieving victory in the soccer game – without knowing all the nitty-gritty details of how the work came to be.
