Gooey Duck Resources

Jun 15, 2009

Interested in “gooey duck”? Gooey Duck is actually spelled as geoduck, and “gooey duck” is more of a pronounciation of the geoduck. This is named to a particular group of huge saltwater clam found in the Pacific Northwest that is commonly found along the coast of US and Canada. The term seemed to have come from an American native word which means “to dig deep”.

Geoducks are actually cultured for their meat. Some groups of people believe that these giant clams are very good aphrodisiacs. These clams have longer life spans than human beings – in fact, the longest in the animal kingdom.

Oysters too, are known aphrodisiacs, and so are some exotic seafoods. I think eating one giant clam is enough. Haha.

i don’t know where they offer this one here in manila, but in our province in bacolod, there are restos that serves somewhat this kind of giant clams…and of course, men flock those restos… and one funny thing is that, naughty people has used the local name of clam to describe some sexually explicit things, ehehehe
