this is interesting topic, well i’m lucky to convince three people to try their luck in bloging first my close friend in office Geng, the other one is my sister Redge and her high school friend Cathy. They have one thing in common, they love to read and write so persuasion is not that hard. Right now Geng has even higher PR than me and I’m so happy for her. We’re all part-time bloggers though! I’ve resigned from my job few months back but my boss requested me to stay a little bit longer but in time i know he’ll accept. I’m very interested in online freelance job from odesk but will take it seriously when i’m finally at home working. Hope you could give me some tips by then!

You make an excellent point.
Online work isn’t for everyone, though we do see that a growing number of people is realizing that it’s really no different than offline work.
It was only 15 years ago that people using email were considered nuts or geeks (and today there is almost no one who doesn’t use it), and I strongly believe that online work (or online freelancing) is already experiencing the same change. You, I and our fellow buyers and providers are just the early adopters in this market.

well, comparatively, I earn more ’cause I don’t have to spend for transportation, coffee or snacks in between…

but I’ve heard from my mother’s friend, she’s a retired college prof and now works as a tutor online (halo-halo na nationality). She receives double or more my salary per hour ’cause she has MA or PHD in teaching English…

Yung company kasi namin UP students at alumni lang ang tinatanggap… but I hope they scrap that requirement out…

I have worked as an online tutor and it’s giving me bigger amount of money than my friends who work in call centers (it’s very convenient too ’cause I work at home and have flex time)

I have convinced many of my friends in this job and we’re happy

but since I have a lot of free time, I also joined as a writer in an American company outsourced in the Philippines, but I quit because the pay was so low but the job was demanding

now, I’d like to have more freelance jobs… well, aside from blogging, do you know any other way we could earn from the Internet…

well, I’m happy even I’m not earning yet…

I’m glad your wife is very helpful about her friend.

But she has to have at least an interest in writing about things, or she’ll have to find another way to sustain her growing family.
