How Building Up Lists Make Money

Sep 16, 2008

I never knew about online list building up to now. Internet marketers do this stuff. Some people had been successful with this. Ask Tellman Knudson. He’s the man behind The ListBuilding Club. He had been online for only three years and he learned to make millions through his mentor, Shawn Casey.

I don’t have any idea about list building; it is my first time to hear about it. I decided to know more by getting to their list first – which means I had to give my name and my email address to enter. I learned what I could about their list building strategy that made them discover its potential for money-making venture.

List building gets people to subscribe to an offer that they are interested in. When I gave out my name and email address right at the start, I get to subscribe to their list. I did not stop after that sign up. I get to have a exclusive link on one of their videos, which is actually a prelude to their series of videos about list building venture.

As I went on I learned some things about list building, I did not realize that I’ve been using a bit of those principles. Getting people to subscribe to my email subscription in this blog is some form of list building. On a professional blogger’s blog, there are always stuff freebies and special offers that are made available exclusively to their subscribers. Perhaps the success of professional bloggers had something to do with the power of lists.

These professional bloggers actually earn from the best ideas that they are selling in their blog.

    I have signed up for this but why are they asking for your credit card number? did you give your credit card number to them while signing up? they were asking for it? is it advisable? is there a way to sign up without giving that credit card info?

    There are a lot really. I have not explored this, though. But it is still a new gem.

    @kouji
    It is with the products and deals that comes when one gets listed.

    Hi Gem,

    Thanks for this new idea. I tried to look at it a bit. Although I’m not done on my research on this, it seems that it has something to do with building a list of email recipients and selling online. I’m quite skeptical but I’ll study this further.
