How I Got More than 300 Returned Entrecard Drops
I have a problem right now. Not a big one, but I don’t want to be a big disappointment to the recent EC droppers that I have right now. As you’ve noticed I am a humble member of the U-drop-I-follow movement.
I just could not return all your drops. I have been getting more than 300 Entrecard drops in my account for five consecutive days!
I guess I am now one among those who reached Entrecard nirvana of getting more than the maximum allowed drops per day. My highest number of drops reached 390 on the 6th of October, and I’ve broken the barrier since the 4th of October. The last bar shows a lower value because it represents the number of drops done as I am writing this post (13 hours since the last reset).

I think this has something to do with the sudden increase of advert clicks. I did not adopt any strategy except to advertise on active EC blogs.

Organic clicks looked consistent, so I am convinced that advertising did the trick.

My daily 300 EC drops had almost been consistent. I haven’t reached the drop master status. Probably because there are some days where I could not complete the drops (remember the typhoon?) and a few days when I was not able to drop at all.

In case you’re wondering, I have already written out some Entrecard tips that I use to accomplish those 300 drops. I have two blogs that I promote in Entrecard; I’ve managed to do all those 600 drops in just over an hour – and bookmark those that I want to comment on or put them into my feed reader so that I could revisit those blogs.

Great! I was happy when I finally got 300+ drops. Although I’m not an official member of the U Drop clan I try to return all drops. One thing I do is to make a list of those sites I haven’t returned drops on and then get those out the next day.

Great! I just don’t have time to list down those other sites, I would end up listing 95 sites to return the next day. Besides, that’s five days consecutive returns.
wowowee!!! 1 hour lang for 600 drops? i signed up in ringsurf parang mas trip ko kasi you don’t have to open another browser. i checked out udrop i follow but i don’t wanna sign up for blogcatalog anymore.

Hehehe.. I never make it exactly one hour. If the internet connection is good I can go for one hour run-and-drop thing. If I comment along, I accomplish this in 2 hours.

Hmmm Gem, so the trick is really in placing more adverts and that the adverts must be placed at active EC member sites?
Over at my end, nothing seems to have improved since I “chopped” off Blogs that were clearly hibernating.
Even with a controlled 200 drops, I receive a mere 80 plus reciprocals. And these 200 drops that I make are at active EC member sites!
So, that still leaves me befuddled.

Thanks for asking. The EC tip I provided above is just the tip of the iceberg. In the other blog (the single parents) that I am also promoting in EC, I did the same trick – but have problems similar with yours. I never got the maximum 300 EC drops.
I’ve promoted “lady programmer” blog in EC much earlier than the “single parent” blog.
Now I’ve realized that the popularity rating of a blog has something to do with it. The “lady programmer” blog has a higher popularity rating than the other blog.
Wow! your are amazing. You are one of the most popular Entrecarders. I wish I could do it but I do the manual thing and I am not consistent in my dropping of cards. The graphs you’ve shown, especially the graph for the drops you make everyday, show a feat that is hard to beat.

oh i make it as my dialy habit too, but sometimes when i out and being far away from my lappy, i miss my drop nah. so far i maintain to reach 300 ec drops per day..
Popularity is directly correlated to the number of drops you receive.
Apparently it’s something like you take the (average?) number of daily drops over the past 7 days, multiply that number by 5 and you get your rating.
So if you get 60 drops per day for 1 week, you’re rating will be 300 (I think)

how painful when i couldn’t do my responsibility as ec dropper to reach to the maximum drops because i am always out of town and doesn’t have any lappy to carry anywhere and sometimes internet access is not always available these fail me to udate my blogs and ec drop. if i have the opportunity i could only drop my fav’s blog which yours is one…i am amazed and extend my congrats for managing the drops in just more than an hour. So amazing! ec drop is not just a click but a hard tasks!:) Congrats!:)

600 drops for just over an hour, my golly, that is just so amazing! i could not even make a combined 200 drops in my 2 blogs, coz I get tired! and for the past 2 days, EC had been acting up, I could not even open my inbox. but really, congrats to you for doing so well.
I will try to do that to improve my alexa ranking…

Entrecard improves my Alexa greatly but does it even mean anything? I think my Alexa is getting bumped up by readers who dont read anything on my blog and just come there to click the entrecard card.
Anyway it is not that I dont like my higher Alexa ranking as a result of such visits….so maybe I will try to follow your advice
