How to Turn $5 Into $10,000 in 14 Days With Paypal!

Sep 10, 2008

UPDATE: It seems to me that there are a lot of tech bloggers who are posting out humor posts today. I’m beginning to think that there’s a humor virus in the wild!

I think this is why there will be some people who remain to be skeptical about the possibility of making money online. People with simply an email to communicate with other people often receive “make money messages” in their Inbox email. Surprisingly, no matter how fishy it sounds some people fall for it, while others shrug it off because it is simply too good to be true.

There are some really “creative” people who can come up with new systems to convince people to give out money. People often receive emails that sounded like this:

An inbox message in my Entrecard

The message is too long so I’ve decided taken out some important snippets from that message and put some comments along.

    Wa ha ha ha, never fall for this kind of scam. I know the formula. They know that those desperate for money would be willing to part with his last $5 to get $10,000. The nature of man is to have the tendency to see only what he wants to see and disregard the undesirablet. These scammers know this (they learned some psychology in school)so they capitalize on it. Look at how long the the introduction and talk about unbelievable return (this is the bait), and notice how the hook is hidden in just one line “Simply send a $5 gift to the person at POSITION #1″. That’s the hook. Bite the bait and part with your money he he he.

    The long paragraphs can be quite a difficult read, but if you read it again it can be quite amusing.

    LOL. Spam is ok – I do enjoy reading some of them… But not Scam.

    With my chosen blog niche (make money online) – I do encountered countless scams I wonder why there are still so many people fell victims to it – mostly willing victims.

    @Bloggista
    I noticed that people get scammed from spams. Not all spams are scams though.

    @LiNTEK
    Never :-)

    @Sam
    Definitely. There won’t be any scammers if there were some people who would fall for this trap.

    I am frowning too Gem :) as I read, there were similar scams also before not online if I can remember, the “pyramid” thingy?

    @betchai
    I’ve seen a lot of MLMs and I think some these are the “pyramid” thingys! But there are some legitimate businesses that adopt these kind of MLM models. Avon is one good example. Even those Smart and Globe cellphone load wallet that are sold around more or less follow that same model.

    I’m no expert in that stuff, but one thing that experts say to distinguish scams from the real one is to see if there are associated products or services with it.

    I’m receiving lots of this spam scams on my email but I ignore reading them because most of times the title alone and the first sentence of the message tells me it’s just another scam email.

    I think most of the people who fall prey to this are those somewhat new or are unfamiliar with this kind of schemes.

    @Biz
    I’ve often ignored these too. But we still see more of these type of mails, so it is perhaps true that there are others who fall into this trap.

    The problem with this kind of emails is they give people who have a honest business a bad name, especially in the MLM world.

    But I am always surprised how many people fall for something like this. A good friend of mine regularly gets his computer infected by a virus or SpyWare and he turns to be for help. First question I always ask, did you click on a link in an email that was sent to you?

    His answer is always: No, but when I drill down we usually find the email in question, and he just wanted to view the attached image or document. It gets him everytime.

    The MLM thing? They are real!!! Really! The only problem is, those on top are earning a lot of money, while the recruited one, they are the losers.

    I got a friend who’s trying to recruit me. The management team is her boyfriend’s brothers and sisters. I didn’t join. I even attended the seminar because she’s so eager to recruit me. And even that I’m saying no, she’s telling me to just attend the seminar.

    It’s a one-on-one seminar that you can’t say no. Lalo na’t nandun ang friend ko. But still, I say no. I’m not good at recruiting anyway.

    would be funny, and it kind of is, but then people actually do fall for these things, otherwise, the spammers/scammers wouldn’t have much of an incentive to give it a go. ah well. sometimes we just want to believe these shortcuts and promises.

    Why not just do Real cash gifting.I mean we all know there are scams on the internet but the vast majority of programs are legit they just aren’t what the person who joined expected it to be.The people who get scammed are usually people who want something for nothing.
