Hi Gem,

thanks for the article, it's very helpful... I'm new to odesk and I haven't started applying yet coz I haven't figured out the payment methods... you mentioned that Unionbank EON card is the only ATM/debit card that can work with Paypal verification... is it true until now? or meron na other banks na pwede?

What if I prefer to withdraw the payment in dollars since I have an existing dollar account (in another bank), how do I go about this? Hope you can help. thanks.

Hi Gem,

I was wondering if you could help me. I withdrew funds to my paypal account and then wanted to transfer it to my BDO accounts. I followed the advice of most ODesk forums and I thought I did it correctly. My Paypal account says that they've completed the transaction but no money in that amount has been added to my local account.

Hi! I just need to verify this. I read something about Payoneer having maintenance fees. How much do you know about this? It started as a toss-up between Paypal and Payoneer, but when I learned about the latter's maintenance fees, I am leaning towards subscribing to the former.

Webcam is not a requirement (believe me, I don't have a webcam), but you cannot prevent oDesk from getting screenshots at regular intervals.

You need to verify your Paypal first - if you have a credit card, you can try that, or if you don't have any, then open a Unionbank EON bank account with any Unionbank branch. Their ATM/debit card is the only known card that can verify Paypal.

The only known ATM/debit card in the Philippines that can work with Paypal verification is a Unionbank EON card - I highly recommend getting to a Unionbank branch and opening a Unionbank EON account with them.
