Other Sites that Lets You Earn Money From Blogging
I still got other opportunities to make some cash out of blogging. I never got money yet from these services, but I have seen some people successfully earning some cash from it.
Unlike PayPerPost, SocialSpark and Sponsored Reviews, I have yet to see payment proof out from these sites.
1. Smorty
Here is one paid review network that can even accept Filipino language blog – if you have a blog written out in Filipino. I had not been active with them, probably because my blog had not met their standards UPDATE: I just got one of my blogs approved in Smorty, probably after doing this post
. I can only submit one blog at a time; for me to submit for another one, I had to do five successful paid posts with them.
Anyway, Smorty seemed to be a good site to earn from paid reviews. It seemed also good for building backlinks by writing exchange reviews with other bloggers.
Probably the most visible sign that Smorty has a good reputation is their active forum. The Filipino community is also active with Smorty, so Pinoys will not have any difficulty meeting other bloggers. I’ve also witnessed some big Filipino bloggers endorse Smorty by putting up widgets in their blogs.
Blog flipping is a very common trade in the forums. If you are seeking for high PR blogs to buy then the Smorty forum is probably a good site to look for sellers.
2. Blogsvertise
I have two blogs approved with them. Blog approval is fast – I think it is faster than PPP, SocialSpark or Sponsored Reviews – but this approval is done manually. Unlike Smorty, Blogsvertise accepts a number of blogs in their system.
The greatest strength of this site is that it offers diverse options of making money, not only from paid reviews:
- blog entries – which allows a blogger to do paid reviews
- blog homepage textlink – which allows a blogger to put up side links
- blog homepage banner – which allows a blogger to put up ad space banners, and the
- experimental video ad entries – where a blogger is required to do a Youtube video of himself. Blogsvertise gives higher payouts for this effort.
I have yet to see if Blogsvertise is really a good site or not. Although their system is automated, I am impressed at their prompt customer support service. I am not very much active with them since they offer lower payout for every paid review. There seemed to be some opportunities that require “nofollow” links; for interested bloggers who do not like to lose their Google pagerank.
3. LoudLaunch
One thing that I like about LoudLaunch is its cool, streamlined design. I think they overdid the simplicity though; the site had neither forum nor blog, so I can just judge this site from what I see. These forums or blog could be a lot helpful for LoudLaunch.
Anyway, there had been some payment proofs posted around for this site. The same set of bloggers mentioned that most of the opportunities offered are on travel and mortgages.
I had already submitted two blogs with them but these blogs are still waiting to be approved.
4. PayU2Blog
When I do my daily Entrecard drops, I come across a few EC bloggers who had been happy with PayU2Blog. These bloggers posted out payment proofs in their blogs, so I guess PayU2Blog is a pretty legit paid blogging site. I got this blog submitted a long time but I never get past the front page. I must have a blog approved before I could get in.
5. BloggerWave
Although one of my blogs got approved, I never got to write with BloggerWave because there seemed to be less opportunities posted with the site. I don’t think BloggerWave makes it a sustainable means to earn from paid blogging because I have seen a lot of bloggers complain about delayed payments. They pay, but expect it to be given over several months.
6. ReviewMe
ReviewMe seemed to be very picky in approving blogs. My previous PR4 blog got disapproved several times because I didn’t traffic. I was getting one or two visitors, and on most days, none, with that old blog. I think ReviewMe wants bloggers who can maintain a combination of good Google PR, Alexa traffic, RSS subscribers and good Technorati count.
No wonder ReviewMe is an attractive site to “professional bloggers” – those big time bloggers who had a big network of blog subscribers. Like SocialSpark, bloggers are required to disclose that their reviews are given out from ReviewMe.
I just had one of my blogs approved with BuyBlogReviews and started getting emails on some opportunities. I think BuyBlogReviews is a lot similar to Sponsored Reviews – except that bloggers are required to disclose their paid reviews with a widget similar to the one used in SocialSpark.
Payment Methods
All the review sites that I had mentioned give out payments by Paypal. I will not go into detail about Paypal: I have a series of posts written about this payment method which is now fully functional in any Philippine bank account unlike a year ago. Please dig in these series of posts on Paypal withdrawals to any Philippine bank account, which I update regularly.
One tip for Payoneer card holders, if you got a Payoneer Mastercard through Bux.to, oDesk, GetAFreelancer, Elance then you can try linking your existing Payoneer Mastercard so you do not have to request for a new card. I had successfully linked my ReviewMe account with oDesk debit Mastercard, so I don’t need to request for a separate card from Payoneer (and pay for it).
I’m sure you have encountered other sites that lets you earn money from blogging. Share it to everyone by leaving a comment below.

How to Earn Money from Blogging
Is Freelancing (or Problogging) for Me?

I used to accept opps from Smorty and I think its better than Socialspark. ALthough recently, I havent done any sponsored post – close to 3 months already.
interesting. i like the idea that a lot of philippine bloggers are active here. makes it seem more friendly somehow.
same with bloggista. i joined smorty since early this year pa pero havent seen an opp for 5 months na ata. i was only able to do 4 posts for a total of $26.
pero ok din sa forum, i was able to get in contact with a person there who gives me opps every now and then.
I joined blogvertise last May and I got four blogs approved by them but I never heard from them again after that, I was never given any assignment, probably my blogs’ PR and traffic wer not that good for them. Now because of this post I remembered Blogvertise and logged in. I submitted my Technotechniques.com blog and am now hoping that I’d be given some assignments soon. The traffic of this blog is somewhat better than what it has in May.
As for Smorty they rejected my application outright, that was in May, now I wiil try applying again.
As for BuyBlogReviews, I am am member and I have earned a few dollars from them. The secret is to just bid and bid till your fingers bleed. That’s what I do with them, after I made around 250 bids on 250 assignments I finally got two assignments and I was paid.
As for PayU2Blog, I was rejected in May when I applied, I will try applying again now that my blogs are performing better
i am member of smorty since last year but since i did not active my other blog didn’t heard any opps and so the blogsvertise..i suggest you to join blogitive and blogsvertise because u’ve got a high PR and traffic..you will be surprise on your paypal then because of your unexpected earning! strike while the iron is hot!:) i did that and so rewarding!:) good luck!:)
my blog is approved with smorty but i haven’t got a single opps yet…i wonder why…hehehe…
as for payu2blog, i would really like to be approved with them, kaso dapat pala own domain ang blog..tsk..tsk..tsk..
@bloggista
I think SocialSpark got its “sparks” idea from Smorty.
@kouji
Agree. In PPP their forums are dominated by US bloggers. I saw a lot of pinoy threads in Smorty. =)
@calvin
Really? Smorty must be really great.
@Pastilan
I’ve known you more of one who really gets ahead into opportunities that you see. Unfortunately many of these paid review sites accept those blogs with PR; unlike PPP and SS where you can still catch opportunities even without a pagerank.
@gLoR!e
I’ve heard about blogitive and visited their site. I have not yet made an account with them. Thanks for the lead.
@naomi
I don’t see much opportunities around Smorty too. I think it has to do with my stats. The forum is alive though, so I think Smorty is really working.
I’ve also heard that PayU2Blog favors those blogs that sit on their own domains. I think that is why one of my blogs had not been immediately approved in the first place.
I am a Smorty member too. So far I have 4 accepts opps [2 approved and 2 pending] and I got paid once. So far I am ok with it. I know there are other things to do there to monetize my blog but since I have 9 other blogs [where I also have other monetizing activities like PPP] i dont have the time to explore it. So far i’ve earned around $600 since june for blogging [I not bragging] here and there and i need to knock my head off to come up with ideas to write post ads. it’s draining but i need money to help my hubby pay the bills. but when I get my license I will soon look for a real job because blogging for money is already driving me crazy. monetizing rub it off the fun of writing.
@ruthi
9 blogs! That will make you crazy. But of course there are other ways to earn money, but these will require a bit more effort than just churning off posts for paid reviews.
9 blogs. :O currently have my hands full just with one.
though i do not have any idea about any of those, but it is always great to know about the many opportunities on line. i just do not know if i will have time to do those though, since having 2 blogs and a full time job makes me already very slow in my posting. i know you mentioned before it helps if we update our blog more often to offer our readers something new, but sometimes, i just feel tired i could not write anything
that i would rather be outside and snap pictures. but of course, it is really nice for me to know all these things and these opportunities, as it is really great to have some fall back.
Wow there is a lot of information here and guidence should I want to use it to make money on my blog. Great job keep it up. I think you blog deserve a mention in my future post.
@kouji
At least you have no trouble finding time to visit other blogs to promote your haikus.
@betchai
I also get tired doing 2 blogs before – now I’ve added another blog. But I’m sure that the nice comments you got will always motivate you to talk about the topic.
@iwrite
Thanks a lot. A future post is very much appreciated – if you really want to mention me in your blog.
i like Social spark and payperpost… don’t encounter any problem with these site, however, i lost my pr because i sign up for paid post.
@gem: true, the comments can be quite motivating, for those days when it’s a little bit hard to get on the keyboard and write.
Wow, so there’s a lot of sites where you could earn money thru blogging eh? Maybe I’ll try some those when I have good number of traffics already, it’s hard when you are just starting.. Thanks for sharing this..
I was a member of smorty before but I deleted my blog hehehe.. I got tired of payu2, they should just tell the blogger if they rejected or not.. bloggerwave approved my blog right away but that was it, i never seen any opps yet.. still pending on loudlaunch.. got approved from blogvertise just last week, let’s see what will happen hehehe.. I never heard of review me..
Try mo din linkworth, they’re good..
What a comprehensive post Gem, glad to know about the other sites.. Thank you!
I never got task from SMORTY
I don’t know why
So disappointing…
@Darlyn
It is always the case with paid post. You lose PR.
@kouji
Visiting other blogs is very helpful. You always learn a little, then you realize what is wrong with your site.
@Joops
You’re welcome.
@rose
You got a lot of experience with this. Yeah linkworth. A lot of buzz with that. I’m going to see that.
@chubs
Thanks. I have a liking for comprehensive posts – but it depends on how it is presented. Those ones with big paragraphs bore me. But I guess this post is read, because I get a lot of comments.
@The Success
Sorry for hearing that! I also don’t have any tasks with them, even if my blog was approved.
I didnt know there were so many avenues available. Actually right now I just blog for readers. Do you have a similar post for how to get readers…are there any sites that help in doing that?
@lvs
That’s just one way to monetize a blog – paid reviews – and there are a lot of sites offering it.
Sadly, I do not have any posts myself, on how to get readers, or know of other sites that would help you gain more readers. I guess you’ll have to rely on the existing network sites that you have (you got Digg and BlogCatalog).
When I was active with paid posting (using my other blogs), Smorty gave the most opps and the earnings were bigger. With SocialSpark, although I was one of those who were invited early during the beta stage, I haven’t done any post except the I Signed Up with SocialSpark thingy.
Sponsored post is also good, they offer bigger opps (like close to a hundred dollars per opps depending on your blog). But seems I got tired with sponsored posts – occassionally I just do direct opps from advertisers – so make sure you have a Contact Me page.
@Bloggista
I really wish I would finally see that list of opps in Smorty. I still have no idea on how much each opps cost.
SocialSpark was not really that good, at the start, because they had less opportunities. I got there at the same time when I signed up with PPP.
Honestly, I like to explore other ways to make money from blogs – not just from paid posts.
hwawwwwww nice list!!!
medyo humina ang blogging business sa akin
@Berryblitz
Thanks! I see less posts. The PR0 does not really do much good. Advertisers always prefer those PR-ed blogs.
