Even if we have online services that offer convenience in training personnel to develop or upgrade skills, traditional classroom trainings will still be an option for companies to train. True, there is an outstanding benefit to getting enrolled in computer based trainings, but onsite trainings will still be an available solution to companies needing one.
I usually spend a day or two to learn a new technical skill in my previous work. I like getting trainings usually because it gets me away from the pressure of my workplace. On top of that, I get those trainings after work or during rest days, and my previous company paid me overtime work rates for that. Our trainers often come outside of the company – they are just invited over to get up equipped with a new skill.
This scenario is a lot similar to what Countrywide Training is offering to their corporate clients: they send a over certified instructor to conduct an onsite training to companies. Their trainings are as basic as learning how to use Microsoft Office to getting IT certification trainings. There are soft skills training too, for those who need to learn people skills such as that of customer service.
One outstanding benefit about onsite trainings over online computer based trainings is that students are focused on learning the new topics. However, these trainings are not really very applicable to freelancers, unless we are able to pool up as a big group to train.

Believe me or not, even my grandmother learned to play that gadget to pass out time.
Although Tetris isn’t something that you’d see in game consoles anymore, I still enjoy a full game of Tetris whenever I encounter this game online. I am not playing this game as much as I do in high school, but I still love to pass out time or de-stress with this simple game. Unlike that handheld game I played a decade ago, online Tetris games come in different designs and themes and sometimes the game is accompanied by one or more goals to make it challenging. I think Microsoft’s Project Natal is another milestone in home gaming entertainment. If you have not heard of this buzz that had been going for months, Project Natal does not require any controller to be hooked up to an Xbox 360!
Microsoft seemed to introduce this stuff not only to kids but to all family members. I see that gadget as an all-around entertainment console that’s great for the entire family. There isn’t any release date yet, but Microsoft said that it will be offered soon.
This cool teaser video says it all:
I guess the physical activity demanded by this new console would help people get on their feet and be active.
