Are you still using your Payoneer card? I am not using that card as often as before, because I am quite contented with the transfers that I do from Paypal to Unionbank to Smart Money.

Payoneer card for oDesk
-I read an announcement posted in my Payoneer account yesterday. Metabank replaces the First Bank of Delaware as the issuing bank. Here’s a snippet of announcement posted within my Payoneer account:
On February 9, 2009 , MetaBank will replace First Bank of Delaware as the issuing bank for the Payoneer Prepaid MasterCard card accounts.
The transition to MetaBank will not affect card usage. You may use your card as usual without interruption in service or security. Please access your Terms and Conditions for changes.
Now this might explain why the First Bank of Delaware bank account suddenly dropped from my list of Paypal bank accounts. I used that virtual bank account a few times to transfer funds from Paypal to Payoneer (this feature is NOT available yet for all Payoneer card holders). This means I have to add that virtual bank account again with Paypal. I will still have to try adding that bank account again in a few weeks.
Payoneer is an alternative for me to withdraw cash from oDesk, but this card can also be linked to other websites such as ReviewMe, Elance and GetAFreelancer. It is a lot similar to a Paypal account, but this one is a Mastercard debit card that can be easily used to withdraw cash or to pay for purchases.
Those avatars are my followers on Twitter. You might not believe me, but some very famous bloggers who are earning five to six-figures are my Twitter followers! Can you spot them?

If you had not been following me, then follow me in Twitter now. Also, you can get your own Twitter mosaic by clicking the link below.
There’s more to this than simply showing a mosaic. You can order a shirt or a mug and show up some of your Twitter friends or followers (you can manually remove the ones that you don’t want to show on your mug or shirt).
Thanks to Jaypee for this idea.

I got hold of Web Hosting Pal for a quick peek this weekend. The site has a few pages with a very simple list of its top ten web hosting sites.
I was hoping for detailed reviews for each of those web hosts listed in their top ten, but Web Hosting Pal managed to make only six out of ten detailed web host reviews. This should be the one that Web Hosting Pal should work out for the four remaining web hosts that occupy the top four slots of the list.

Top Ten Web Hosting Services
I keep on wondering where Web Hosting Pal gets its basis for rating each web site. The site did not disclose any rating system. I could not even see a community who can vote and write personal opinions for any web host. I assume that the people behind Web Hosting Pal picked their top ten web hosts and rated these sites. Anyway, their list is pretty much the same with the ones made by other web hosting review websites.
Web hosting pal is definitely for people who do not want to get bogged down with too much details in choosing a web host. For those ones are on the rush in picking out the most fitting web host, Web Hosting Pal gives a straightforward list of sites to choose from.
This is a paid review.
A few posts ago, I have shared you how I saved a lot by withdrawing from Paypal to Unionbank EON to Smart Money. Some asked me on how this procedure goes. Since mobile banking is not a feature that majority of the Filipinos would have on their mobile phones, the setup procedure is quite manual since it always almost needs the aid of the customer service to properly setup these accounts.
One has to exercise a great deal of patience in getting their accounts enabled for mobile banking. In the long run, this setup has saved me several hundreds of pesos.

Brickhouse are now offering a number of medical alert products that are very useful to save lives. I saw two very useful products in BrickHouse Alert that are worth mentioning:

Detect fallen people
I don’t think that it is always possible to keep an eye on old folks every minute of the day. This fall detection alarm is a useful gadget that best made for older people. It is a sensor attached to a person’s waistline to detect a fall. The gadget immediately contacts the 24-hour monitoring center. If the fallen person does not respond immediately, help is dispatched immediately.
The alarm is just part of the tele-assist package. The whole Brickhouse Alert tele-assist package has various gadgets for detecting inactivity, intruders, panic button, live reminder activity and four speed dial buttons.
Track their location
This bracelet reminded me of those Star Trek shows that I had watched when I was young. At these times this is now commercially available. The most useful application of this is for keeping track of old folks who are showing signs of forgetfulness.
The disadvantages
I only see two distinct advantages: when these items are removed from the body and when these gadgets get destroyed. I still think these disadvantages far outweigh the benefits.
These medical alert gadgets are waterproof, so they can be worn in the shower.
