Privacy Policy Added with Google Adsense Interest-Based Ads

Mar 31, 2009

UPDATE: You may want to generate your own privacy policy generator at SerpRank or just edit out parts of my own privacy policy (if it’s also true for your blog), as some people pointed out and inquired along the comments.

I had added this blog’s privacy policy just days ago, because I just learned it is a must for all Google Adsense publishers. Now I had to update all my other blogs that run Google Adsense too. I had modified just it now to cover interest-based ads that will be enforced by April 9 – the modification required me to add include a link to the Google ad and content network policy.

If you are running Google Adsense in your blogs and websites and don’t have your own privacy policy, you are now required to have one! Here’s my own privacy policy – I also patterned it from after seeing this news from Marghil’s post on privacy policy update for Google Adsense interest-based ads.

This is now my blog’s new privacy policy.

Now I just wonder if it conflicts with all the other advertisements and sponsored posts that run on this blog. If you have a more deeper understanding of Google Adsense’s terms and conditions on which things should be in and out of this freelance blog, please let me know.

i do not know if we have to do this? we do have google adsense and in fact, Today.com pays us a fraction, but since they are the ones putting the ads, so maybe they take charge of the privacy policy agreement too. i hope so, otherwise, i will have so much to learn :(

I don’t think you are required to do this in Today.com. I don’t think you are the one earning from the ads from your blog – I think Today.com gets all those proceeds.

Thanks! I’ve been looking for that privacy policy generator. I don’t think it’s lazy, it’s just makes work easier (and most readers won’t read the privacy policy anyway).
