Since I had decided to embark on full-time freelance ventures, there is only one application that I use most often than any other installed in my computer – Firefox. I just realized that without this beloved browser, I would find it difficult to do freelance work. It is actually the tons of add-ons that are already written for the browser which made my work a lot easier to do.
I have around 25 plugins which I find indispensable in doing web design work and blogging. I don’t plan to discuss all these twenty-five plugins here but I would like to mention those that relate to my blogging work.

Finally, after several days of waiting, my favorite browser, Mozilla Firefox v3.0, makes it to the Guinness Book of Records for the most downloaded software in 24 hours. The total number of completed downloads reached 8,002,530 from the time it started last June 17, 10 AM PDT. The official download started at 18:16 UTC on June 17, 2008 to 18:16 UTC on June 18, 2008.
Mozilla Firefox had started an active campaign for this download. Bloggers buzzed about this.
I like this new version and it still remains to be a fast browser that I’ve known for. The feature that I really find most useful in this new version is the ability to type in a few letters of a website, which leads me to a list of sites that I had previously visited without going to the history list (this is the only feature that I really do not like in the previous versions of Firefox).

I am one of the more 8 million Mozilla Firefox fans who flocked into the Mozilla site to download the newest version at the most awaited Download Day 2008 which bloggers widely talked about. I downloaded Mozilla Firefox version 3.0 and I was surprised not to encounter errors in downloading files though. I got into the site and I was able to download the file.
Let me flaunt my successful participation in this great download day:
To those who are not still familiar with this browser (I doubt it), there are Mozilla Firefox free download sites to try and check out this great browser. I have not switched back to using Internet Explorer because this browser loads up fast in my computer. I really like the innovative tabbed browsing which keeps my taskbar tray organized.

I’m sure Mozilla Firefox 3 is a hot download right now. It got over a million pledges already when I signed up a few days back. Now the guys behind Firefox are now inviting everyone to make this as the most downloaded software in 24 hours.
Here is a link to this awaited download, the file is more than 7 MB:

Are you using a Mozilla Firefox? I am a huge fan of as I go about my programming projects. I just received in my email that there will be a new version (Firefox 3) that will be out on June 17, 2008. As I am writing this post, there are already 1,280,362 pledges including myself to set out a Guinness World Record of becoming the most downloaded software in 24 hours!
The Mozilla blog briefly mentions all about this huge countdown. The button provided below should take you to the PLEDGE NOW page.
