Can You Afford to Stay in this Underwater Hotel?
Dubai seemed to be shaped up as an architectural wonder in the Middle East. The world looks to them at awe at their magnificent fancy structures. Now their underwater hotel is near to its opening date – finally, as its opening day is always delayed. This hotel, named as Hydropolis Sea Resort, will be open to the public soon. Like their other famous structures, this luxurious underground hotel looks more like a giant sea monster at a distance than an underground building.
This underground hotel is said to be worth £300m. It boasts of 220 suites that show the scenic views of the underwater. The roof of this structure was constructed above water so that guests can hold special events.
To get to the hotel, guests would have to take trains going to and from the building. Interestingly, unlike other hotels, this building is protected by a missile defense system.

I guess this is way beyond what I can afford. For now, I could just imagine myself enjoying a night at one of their underground suites.

Ganda grabe. Naku Gem ganyan talaga mga arabs sa UAE, they are using their riches just to topple their fellow arab billionaires. Yan ang hobby nila ngayon. Diba Dubai was also the first one to have the 7-star hotel. Then, they are also building the “Palm Island” which is said to be the biggest man-made island in the world and the only island that is visible from the moon. Then Abu Dhabi, UAE is more than a half-way finished in building the “Leaning Hotel” which is said to be leaning 4-times than the Leaning Tower of Pisa. When I was there during my teen years, I always overhear talks from expats that arabs there are mostly “sira ulo” because of their weird ideas. But in fairness ha, may pakinabang ang pagiging weird nila. These may not be their own ideas but they made them possible using their riches.
Sarap ng hobby nila noh?. Haay..
Yeah, they have the riches that’s why they indulge with those buildings. I wonder if they are able to get back what they had invested. Good for you – nakita mo na yan.
No Gem, when I was there, wala pa mga wonder buildings na yan. I was able to see only the Burj Al Arab but from a distance lang. May fee na daw kasi kapag lumapit ka, haha! Oh my!
Really? There’s a fee for just getting near to those buildings?
